About

Optimize Life — Love God. Love People.

OPTIMIZE [op-tuh-mahyz]

verb (used with object), optimized, optimizing.
1. to make as effective, perfect, or useful as possible.
2. to make the best of.

We began Optimize Life with the hope of encouraging others to live a holistically-healthy, priority-focused, joy-filled life of purpose. We believe that this is done primarily through two commands:  Love God and Love People.

Matthew 22: 37-39 — Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment.  A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'”

Our Crazy Family

“Families are like fudge – mostly sweet with a few nuts.” ~ Family Day

In all seriousness though, we are excited to bring our fun-loving, slightly crazy, caring and compassionate hearts out to serve and share the love that Jesus so sacrificially shared with us.

So, we are hitting the road.  Traveling across America in an RV to love and serve broken people and speak about injustice and how we can make a difference.  More details here.  It will be an adventure for sure.  It will be difficult at times.  It is even a bit crazy.  But we are willing.  And those are the perfect ingredients for God to do big things.

II Corinthians 5:13-14a — If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God.  And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit.  Either way, Christ’s love controls us.

Conner (2003) – “Other people might not help — so we’d better.  I’ve never made a sacrifice like this before, but hey —  life is an adventure so we should live it up…but in the process listen to God.”

Renae (2006)- “It’s cool to help people because we can make new friends, and they can pass it on.”

Caden (2009) – “Love to Hope. —  When you show love, you bring hope.” (Yep…and out of that statement came the name of our road tour!)

Kay (not tellin’) – “Love is a verb.”  “What is important is faith expressing itself in love.” (Galations 5:6b)

Sean (older than Kay)- “Everyone is superior to me in some way. In that, I can learn from them.”
